Tata Motors first launched the Tata Indica in 1998, and since then the company has launched numerous variants of the popular car. The Tata Indica series has found a place in millions of Indian hearts, and the launch of the new Indica Vista 90HP will further strengthen the situation in the Indian market.
Tata Motors has launched the Indica Vista 90HP with brand new features and a highly powerful petrol engine. The new car is offered in four variants: Terra, Aqua, Aura ABS, and Aura Plus. The top-end variant includes a host of new safety and comfort and convenience features.
The Tata Indica Vista 90HP is available in a range of attractive colours including Brilliant Blue, Arctic Silver, Porcelain White and Spice Red.
Tata Motors has introduced another model in the Indica Vista range and this time around it’s a show filled with power packed performance. The new Tata Indica Vista, equipped with an internationally acclaimed 1.4 litre CVCP engine enhanced with twin CAM variable valve timing technology and an Intelligent Port Resizer (IPR), boasts of being the most powerful petrol hatch in its class.
The powerful engine is paired with synchromesh with overdrive type of gearbox that features 5 forward and one reverse gear. The gearbox in the Indica Vista 90HP features drive-by-wire technology that makes gear shift smooth as silk as well as instant throttle response for faster take-offs. The new Indica Vista 90HP, as the name suggests, brings out an exhilarating output of 88.7 bhp @ 6000rpm. When it comes to torque, the Indica Vista 90HP gives a maximum of 116Nm from as low as 4,750 rpm. The near perfect torque and power distribution of the engine increases the fuel efficiency.
The new Tata Indica Vista 90HP can reach the 0 to 60 kmph in just about 5.9 seconds with ease. And that’s not all; the car can peacefully sprint from standstill 100 km/h in a little over 14-seconds.
Independent, lower wishbone, McPherson strut with coil spring at the front and semi-Independent, twist beam with coil Spring and shock absorber at the rear makes the drive in the Indica Vista 90HP comfortable even on the most disturbed roads. The Indica Vista 90HP features disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The car is equipped with a power-assisted hydraulic rack & pinion steering system for easy handling and driving experience.
The new Indica Vista 90HP has the same build and styling as the Indica Vista. The length of 3795mm, width of 1695mm and the overall height of 1550mm from the Indica Vista has been retained in the new 90HP Vista.
The new Indica Vista still has the much familiar long vertically stacked taillights at the back and the smiley grille up front. The sweptback headlights, which have now come to be associated with every Tata car, give the Vista a much more elegant and aggressive look. One gripe that we have is we still don’t get any chrome garnish on the grill apart from the chromed ‘T’ logo in the centre.
The stylish Black and Beige interiors and the better finish and quality of materials of the new Indica Vista 90HP reflect the future design philosophy of Tata Motors. The new car also features a modern new dashboard that would remind you of the familiar Blue5 infotainment system that recently debuted on the Tata Indica Vista Drivetech4.
Inside the cabin of the Indica Vista 90HP, you would see a lot of features borrowed from the Indica Vista Drivetech4, like the lumber support for the front seats, four spoke steering wheel, height adjustment for the driver seat. An HVAC has been included in the car to maintain a desirable temperature inside the cabin.
The new Tata Indica Vista 90HP features an integrated CD player and a two DIN CD System with a USB port and remote control that enables music to be customized.
Safety features in the engine immobilizer, child safety door lock and front ELR seatbelts. The top end variant, the Indica Vista 90HP Aura Plus features premium safety features such as ABS with EBD, dual front SRS airbags, central locking, remote controlled keyless entry, and door ajar warning among others.
