General Motors India has reported a growth of 17.67 per cent in its November Sales. Compared to November sales last year the company managed to sell 8,376 units as against 7,118 units

According to GM India’s vice president P. Balendran, the rise was primarily driven by the favourable customer response to its sedan car Cruze, compact car Beat and hatchback Spark.

“Introduction of best-in-segment cars from the 300 series, increase in customer outreach through distribution network and our unique value proposition like Chevrolet Cashless Ownership offer are the factors that have led to impressive sales,” Balendran said.

“The sales comprised of 2,786 units of Spark, 2,547 units of Beat, and 617 units of the Chevrolet Cruze,” the company said in a statement.

Sales of other brands like Tavera stood at 1,476 units, followed by 297 units of Aveo, 291 units of Aveo U-VA, 262 units of Chevrolet Optra and 100 units of the Chevrolet Captiva.

Recently General Motors completed seven years in the Indian Car Mart and so far they have managed to sell 1,00,000 units which was rolled out on November 27th 2010.

Yamaha India has reported a sales figure of 30,310 units for November 2010. Yamaha has confirmed that they managed to sell 24,600 units in the same month last year.

“We are glad that our sales have maintained a consistent growth trend. Our premium segment bikes such as FZ series and YZF-R15 are doing very well. Our powerful commuter SZ bike and entry level YBR 125 and YBR 110 bikes also continue to grow at a brisk pace,” India Yamaha Motor CEO and MD H Suzuki said.

In the domestic market, yamaha managed to sell 22,710 units, as against 17,055 in the same month last year, up 33.15 per cent. Yamaha India did well in the export department as well. They managed 7,600 units, as against 7,545 units in the year-ago period.

Suzuki Slingshot 125cc fdd 2010 1 950x615 Suzuki Motorcycles Sales November 2010

Two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported 77 % growth recording sale of 25,439 units in November 2010 as compared to 14,393 units in November 2009. Suzuki’s recently launched Slingshot is one of the big guns responsible for this sky high response.

“We have received very good response from the market to all our products…We are committed to continue this growth momentum in future,” Suzuki Motorcycle India Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Atul Gupta said in a statement.

Mahindra and Mahindra India’s largest utility vehicle manufacturer are on a high with regards to their scooters and motorcycle sales. The company has seen a growth of 125% in November 15,854 units.

“We are currently in the process of ramping up (motorcyle) production to meet demand,” Anoop Mathur, president of the two-wheeler sector, said in a statement

The company is expecting the motorcycle sales to further increase with the introduction of stallio 110cc and mojo 300cc liquid cooled. The mojo prototype was showcased a few months back – Stay Tuned,

On Friday German luxury car manufacturers, the subsidiary of Audi India marked 153% increase in its sales during November month 256 cars against 101 in the same period last year.

'We attribute this success to our customers as well as our business partners who truly appreciate our luxurious sporty design and progressive cutting edge technology,' said Audi India head Michael Perschke.

The Audi Cars sales during January-November exceeded 80 percent and stood at 2,791 cars from 1,550 cars in the same period last year. Audi hopes to continue on its growth graph in 2011 with its new launches and opening of new showrooms.

'We are confident that we will further this positive trend in 2011 with the opening of our new showrooms in Delhi and Chennai early next year,' Perschke said. According to him, the product line would also be enhanced with the launch of flagship - the Audi A8 L and the all new super sports car Audi R8, equipped with the powerful V10 engine.

'Between January and November 2010 the Audi sold around 1,003,900 cars, beating the sales figures of the previous best year in the company's history (1,003,469 cars in 200'),' the company said in a statement.'This upturn was driven by high growth rates in China and the growing success in the United States. Audi continues to hold its No.1 position in China and Europe and retain its market leadership in the SUV segment in India,' the statement added.

In terms of sales globally the Audi Cars reported that excluding one month of the year all were its all time best growth of 15.3% which stood at over 1 million cars.

Between January and November 2010 the Audi Cars sold around 1,003,900 cars, beating the sales figures of the previous best year in the company's history (1,003,469 cars in 200'),' the company said in a statement.

At present Audi India offers a range of models in which includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8.

The pace of vehicle sales in India soars down in the month of November. This has happened at a stretch of 4 months of record. The growth based on yearly basis registered 17.81% as against 45.93 % of growth registered in the previous month of October. 
 
According to Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (the apex Industry body representing 44 leading vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers in India) the total number of vehicles sold in the country stood at 12, 21,981 units in November this year as against 10, 37,232 units in the same month last year.
 
SIAM Senior Director Sugato Sen told reporters"The automobiles sales growth in November was slower than September and October, and the actual volume was also lower". He further adds “The main reason for this was that the build up to the festive season that gave additional volumes has tapered off,".

As stated by Sen, the industry body expects even lower sales in December as compared to November. On the other hand the sales of domestic passenger car jumped by 20.

continued to grow at a steady pace with domestic sales growing at 12% for the month of November, 2010.

HMIL’s total sales for November, 2010 stood at 44,542 units as against 55,241 units in November, 2009 registering a decline of 19.4%. The domestic sales accounted for 31,540 units as against 28,162 units in November, 2009 while the exports dipped by 52% from 27,079 units in November, 2009 to 13,002 units in November, 2010 on account of the company adjusting its production mix to meet the increased demand in the domestic market and the plant shutdown for maintenance work.
