23 September, 2011 Premium car brand, Jaguar LandRover, or JLR, will open its Pune dealership by early December. The Ace Cars showroom, located close to the another luxury car brand dealership, BMW, as well as to other car showrooms in central Pune, will have the space to display around 12 cars of both brands, Jaguar and Land Rover.
Parvinder Singh Vijan, managing director of the Mumbai-based Asset Group which has other car dealerships in the Mumbai-Pune region and who has bagged this dealership, declined comment since he not authorised to speak about the JLR brands.
Local buyers of these premium brands said that the base level price of a Jaguar, of around Rs. 55-56 lakh, brings it within reach of a larger market and is an alternative to the Mercedes E Class or the BMW 5 Series sedan.
“There are currently about 30 Jags and around 40 Land and Range Rovers in Pune. I think with a dealership opening in the city, this number could easily double in a year's time,” Aditya Deshpande, a 25-year old real estate developer, said.
The rest of Maharashtra region which the Pune dealership is expected to target is an attractive market for high end cars. Apart from industry and agriculture, politicians are seen as potential buyers specially of SUVs.

BMW India announced the opening of a new sales and service facility of KUN Exclusive at Hyderabad. This is the third KUN Exclusive facility in south India, the others being in Chennai and Coimbatore.

Spread over 19,084 sq ft, the ultra modern 4S facility has a classy showroom integrated with after-sales service facility featuring Sales, Service, Spare parts and Business Systems to ensure that customers receive best-in-class pre and post sales ownership experience.

KUN Exclusive has been a BMW dealer partner since 2007 and has one the biggest showroom facilities in south India. The new showroom in Hyderabad is located at Khairatabad and is headed by Mr. Gautam Gudigopuram, Director, KUN Exclusive.

The design of the showroom is based upon Reception at the Car (RATC) and Urban Street Display concept which is a signature BMW layout with a Consultation Lounge and Sales Desk close to the display area. The showroom will display up to 12 cars in an urban street display style. The workshop has 10 service bays that can service up to 40 cars per day.

KUN Exclusive has employed over 45 people for its new Hyderabad facility and has also provided its staff intense training at BMW’s training centers in Singapore, Malaysia and Germany.

Volkswagen in the news again ! We had reported earlier regarding the huge demand for polo and vento ( Click here to read more). The company  is back in the news, they have inaugurated their 4th dealership in Mumbai. The new dealership is Volkswagen Mumbai West. The dealership boosts a 22 bay workshop including a state of art accidental repair, body paint workshop.
