7G-TRONIC Transmission. Superb exterior design. Vario roof (Coupe to Roadster). Superior styling and design. Comfortable and luxurious interiors. Smooth acceleration. Options for transmissions can be added.

The venerable Mercedes-Benz SL-Class luxury roadster has been graded as one of the most fascinating and coveted cars in the world. The 2007 SL is the fifth generation from the royal racy SL-Class family.

The 2007 SL has revamped its interior and exterior styling, without loosing its mystique and excels in all the same ways as its predecessors. The new generation offers a sophisticated design, groundbreaking technology, exceptional comfort, and immense driving pleasure.

The interior flashes with its new seats with silver-colored contrast stitching and perforated leather. The exterior updates for 2007 is the new radiator grille, new front bumper, and 17" light-alloy wheels with the new 5-spoke styling. The muscular rear-end features brand new tail lights which visually enhance the overall SL-Class styling.

The all new SL-Class comes in two varieties: SL 350 and SL 500. The engine line-up, driveline, and suspension are all tuned for a cool and sportier performance. For 2007, the SL line features a 3.0L V6 engine that comes standard with the SL 350 and a 5.5L V8 engine that comes standard with the SL 500. The improvised SL-Class is the latest model series to feature the new generation of V8 petrol engines.

The chief facelift in the power unit is the 7G-TRONIC Sport 7-speed automatic transmission. The Mercedes group claims 7G-TRONIC Sport as the only passenger car transmission of its type in the world. This new high tech transmission also comes with steering-wheel shift paddles in both the SL 350 and the SL 500 variants. Together with the multifunction steering wheel, the paddles allow drivers to shift through the seven gears on a single stretch, just like in a racing car.

The 3.0L V6 six-cylinder roadster generates 306 bhp and a high torque of 350 Nm. The SL 350 accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers in 6.6 seconds. With increased displacement, output and torque, the new 5.5L V8 eight-cylinder roadster delivers 382 bhp and a torque of 530 Nm. The SL 500 accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers in 7.54 seconds.

The SL model comes with a racy 4-link front suspension with Active Body Control and an MB-Multi-link rear suspension. The brakes are more powerful due to the new Sensotronic Brake Controls.

New Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Car - Interior

The designers have amplified the level of interior and exterior luxury for this SL generation. The SL-Class is termed as a 'Coupe to Roadster in 16 seconds'. According to the Mercedes group, to convert the SL from its Coupe design to its Roadster design just takes 16 seconds in which time the electro hydraulically operated Vario roof folds into the rear of the SL.

The advanced equipment package from the Mercedes-Benz gives the two-seater an even sportier, individualized look with a host of refined appointments both inside and out. The new exterior pushes visually forward; featuring the new-look radiator grille, newly designed front bumper with two additional openings, and new light-alloy wheels. Instead of four thicker louvers, the new venerable grille is now more compact with three. The bumper holds two additional openings, an accentuated black protective grille, and integrated fog lamps.

Inside, the face-lifted Mercedes-Benz SL-Class has grown even more beautified with redesigned silver-colored contrast stitching on the seats and doorsills, higher-quality dashboard materials, and new leather treatments. New, softer leather is used on the rear of the model, and new high-grade velour floor mats have also been added. In short, the new sports SL-Class offers its customers an enticing way of further enhancing and personalizing this legendary dream car. However, the Navigational system is found wanting.

The major standard safety features are side airbags, a pop-up roll bar, Active Body Control, and a TeleAid emergency communications system. The Anti lock Braking System with Brake Assists is also standard.

3.5L V6, 272 bhp Petrol.
Torque of 355 Nm at 2400-5000 rpm.
7G - TRONIC automatic transmission. * Estimated values may differ under various conditions.

High Quality and Expertly Finished Interiors. 12 Button Multifunction Steering Wheel. Selective Damping System. PARKTRONIC Assistance System. NECK-PRO Head Restraints. Fully Electric Fabric Top that Retracts and Opens in Just 20 Seconds.

The Mercedes Benz E Class Cabriolet comes from the ninth generation of the E Class product line- up and offers a range of features complemented by top notch technology, quality and comfort. Based on the latest E Class luxury saloon, the E Class Cabriolet offers a highly sophisticated design, innovative technology, exceptional comfort, and immense driving pleasure.

The Mercedes Benz E Class Cabriolet features top of the line luxury features that sets it apart from the competition. The fully electric fabric top and the improved acoustics of the cabriolet make your ride smooth and noiseless. The fabric top is available in a range of three colour choices, black, dark blue and dark beige, and can be matched to the paint finish to suit personal style.

The E- Class cabriolet, available with a 3.5 litre V6 engine, is mighty powerful and accelerates quickly. The cabriolet is equipped with features like Speed- sensitive power steering, PARKTRONIC with Advanced Parking Guidance, ATTENTION ASSIST, THERMATIC 2- zone automatic climate control with digital display, Tyre pressure loss warning system and Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system.

The Mercedes Benz E Class Cabriolet would compete with the BMW Z4 which was launched last year.

The newly developed engine technologies in the E- Class are strikingly powerful, yet emit very less CO2 and consume lesser fuel. It is this novel technology that forms the basis for the drive system in the E 350: 4 valves per cylinder, variable intake and exhaust camshaft adjustment, a two- stage intake manifold and a balancer shaft. The powerful V6 motor spews out 272 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 355 Nm from 2400 to 5000 rpm.

Dynamic or a more relaxed driving style, be it an open or crowded road, the E- Class Cabriolet's auto transmission ensures the best possible engine power transmission. The seven forward gears on the 7G- TRONIC transmission ensure lower levels of fuel consumption. While overtaking or in situations requiring spontaneous power pulls, individual gears can be skipped.

With the touch of a button, the driver can select the shift programs "C" (Comfort) and "S" (Sport) for the 7G- TRONIC. This transmission also ensures shorter acceleration times and quicker intermediate sprints. The wonder machine can leap from a standstill to 100 km in just 6.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 kmph.

The E- Class Cabriolet has been carved to perform well in both comfortable and sporty driving styles. It comes with a selective damping system through which the suspension gets constantly and variably tuned to suit the road conditions and the driver's driving style.

While stumbling upon weak shocks, the damping force is reduced individually for each wheel while road roar and tyre vibration characteristics are increased. In contrast, when the E-Class Cabriolet comes across more pronounced uneven sections, the system intensifies the damping effect and enhances driving stability. So, there's better comfort and safety.

New Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet Car - Interior

The top of the E- Class Cabriolet will probably go up only to turn away the awe-struck eyes fixed on the open car. The smart and graceful open-top profile of the Cabriolet displays a protracted arrow-shaped front and a rising rear that exemplify a look of energetic motion even when the car is standing still. The classic fabric top adds a tone of sporty refinement. It comprises of three layers of weather-resistant material and provides brilliant insulation even under poor weather conditions. Thanks to the improved acoustics, one can enjoy quiet running without minding if the roof is open or close.

A set of newly designed twin headlamps escort the radiator grille that majestically carries the Mercedes emblem in its centre. Speed is there in its blood and even the fully electric fabric top that retracts and opens in just 20 seconds at speeds up to 40 kmph, carries evidence of this agility. A radio remote control built into the key allows the top to be operated from short distances. Available in options of black, dark blue or dark beige, the 3-layer fabric can be matched to the paint finish as per ones choice.

The crazy lines and sense of space that the interiors of this Cabriolet offer can impress literally anybody. The materials used in the upholstery and interior are high- quality and expertly finished. Good aerodynamics is a must for high driving stability, low noise level and very low fuel consumption and the E- Class Cabriolet epitomizes this characteristic. The aerodynamic design and optional AIRCAP system possess the power of taming the air. They make sure occupants are not bothered by turbulence.

When you have company, there can be nothing as pleasurable as a drive in the E-Class Cabriolet which has enough space for four. The comfy individual bucket seats come with standard-fit NECK-PRO head restraints (front seats). The front seats' height and backrest angle can be electrically adjusted.

The automatic belt feeder at the touch of a button on the instrument console straps the front seats with the seat belt taking comfort to an inconceivable level. Adding to this is the rear entry aid. When rear passengers wish to get in or out, the entire front seat is moved forwards and the Memory package puts the seats into the EASY-ENTRY position and back again electrically. Lumbar support and a chamber for extending the seat cushion length ensure perfect adjustment of the seat to the occupants' sporty and orthopaedic needs.

The 12- button multifunction steering wheel in nappa leather and the resourceful instrument console with tyre pressure loss warning system and more prove the efficiency of the Cabriolet. The PARKTRONIC assistance system guides the driver while parking by offering info if a space is adequate, the correct steering angle and the points at which to turn or reverse to park. The 2-zone automatic climate control THERMATIC automatically keeps the temperature constantly at the desired level for the driver and front passenger.

With the E-Class Cabriolet featuring a storage compartment and double cup holder between seats, there's abundant storage space. The backrest can be folded to allow transportation of bulky items with ease. With 12 loudspeakers, including a subwoofer, this 450-Watt Dolby Digital 5.1 system offers world-class musical experience.

The E-Class Cabriolet flaunts safety systems tailored to its design, like roll-over protection meeting high technical standards. The roof frame structure and the A-pillars are highly stable too. The car comes equipped with a system that recognizes driving situations that could result in an accident. The ATTENTION ASSIST, Intelligent Light System, LED tail lights and adaptive brake lights, active bonnet, PRE-SAFE system, anti-lock braking system and airbags ensure safety of passengers.

Retractable hard top. 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission. Sports tuned suspension. Exceptional exterior design and style. Seamless transmission. Responsive handling.

After a great saga with a successful career spanning almost nine years, the SLK has been revamped and redesigned and is back. The SLK was introduced in 1998 as an answer to the BMW Z3 and Porsche Boxster in the premium small roadster segment.

The SLK's most unique feature is its retractable hardtop roof, which offers more security and a quieter ride than its competitors' soft tops. The electro hydraulically operated steel roof either opens or closes in less than 30 seconds with the touch of a button converting the Mercedes SLK from a closed Coupe to a cool Convertible.

Improvements over the years kept the car competitive. After nine years on the market the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class has undergone an ever charismatic redesign. In every bit the 2007-generation SLK is as eye-catching as the original racecar. The new SLK-Class has larger wheels and an enhanced Vario-roof that is available with optional remote-control functionality. New powerful engines, improved performance, and a host of other optional equipment are now a part of the SLK package.

The SLK model offers three variants such as the SLK 200 Kompressor, the SLK 350 and the SLK 55 AMG.

In 2007, the SLK 200 Kompressor variant comes standard with a 1.8L In-line 4 petrol engine that churns out 163 bhp and the SLK 350 variant comes with a 3.5L V6 petrol engine that generates 272 bhp. The SLK 55 AMG is equipped with a more powerful 5.4L V8 engine that delivers a remarkable 360 bhp. The SLK 350 and the SLK 55 AMG can cover 0 -100 km in an amazing 5.5 seconds.

A revolutionary 7-Speed Automatic Transmission (7G-Tronic) comes standard in the SLK 350 and the SLK 55 AMG, while a 5-Speed Automatic Transmission is standard on the SLK 200 Kompressor. These precisely matched transmissions allow the SLK-Class to offer you with optimum power transfer.

The more direct rack-and-pinion steering is very well weighted and accurate, and the car is perfectly stable at highway speeds. The McPherson three-link front suspension with anti-dive control and the Multi-link rear suspension are tuned to give you an ultimate sporty drive.

New Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class Car - Interior

The Mercedes-Benz SLK was systematically redesigned for 2007 and the objectives were evident. Where the last-generation SLK was cute, almost elegant, the current one has a more aggressive appearance. The SLK imitates the Mercedes McLaren SLR road car, which is hand-built in conjunction with the McLaren Formula 1 team.

The new interior design concept with a black cockpit and Aluminium-finished controls offers a compelling, high-quality driving environment. It features sports seats with a magnesium frame and the new display and control concept with a central display. An innovative Airscarf system feeds warm air to your neck and shoulders via dedicated registers in the headrests, making the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class even more comfortable with the top down in chilly weather.

The SLK is a small, two-seat sports car. Though roomier than the previous-generation SLK, the cabin is a bit cozy, particularly with the folding hardtop in place. The seats are excellent, widely adjustable in a variety of directions with leather upholstery.

With the host of standard equipments such as a sound system, CD changer, electrically adjustable seats, 10-Spoke alloys, and a steering wheel gearshift button, the SLK-Class offers one of the most compelling combinations of style, performance, and comfort available. With luxury optional features including leather upholstery, sound systems, and communication systems, the SLK-Class can be customized to your taste.

Some of the high tech safety features include anti-lock braking system (ABS) and front and side airbags.
