12 January, 2012 The New Delhi automobile fair pulled out of initial chaos to end on a high note on Wednesday, averaging about lakh visitors a day as motor enthusiasts shrugged off complaints of mismanagement for a glimpse of greener vehicles.
"There has been quite a success with this edition of the auto expo," Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath told reporters after his valedictory address.
The organisers of the weeklong 11th Auto Expo now plan to hold the motoring event, which saw about a dozen new electric and alternate fuel vehicles from domestic and international automakers, at a new venue in the national capital region in 2014 from February 5 through 12.
The fair, which is held at Pragati Maidan in the heart of the city, is notorious for causing long traffic jams and getting the city administration in a tizzy. This time, organisers drew flak from manufacturers for the swarming crowd that descended on the media preview days, upsetting plans and new vehicle launches.
However, the milling crowd later brought cheer to the participating automakers with positive feedback and confirmed bookings.
"It’s the largest auto show for Asia’s second-fastest growing market and the interest in new cars and products is bound to bring hordes of people to the venue and our stall," Maruti Suzuki MD and CEO S Nakanishi said, adding, "The Indian auto expo is rated as one of the top events in Suzuki’s global calendar and we would continue to make global launches in future too."

The Corsa VXR Blue Limited Edition features new styling details, additional kit as standard and a head-turning paintjob. At £19,425 (including 20% VAT), this limited edition model features Arden Blue metallic paint, 18-inch alloys, dark-tinted glass, bespoke interior air vents and Recaro seats – that equates to a £445 saving compared with the cost of speccing a ’standard’ Corsa VXR with this kit.

Powered by the lightweight 1.6 Turbo, producing 192PS, this VXR boasts a 0-60mph time of just 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 140mph. An overboost feature increases maximum torque to 260+Nm when the power is needed.

Like other models in the new-look Corsa range, the VXR and VXR Blue sport new ‘Eagle-Eye’ headlamps and a signature bar across the grille, coloured in blue. But in addition, the VXR gets a more aggressive front end, with deep in-set fog lamps, a wider and more prominent grille and a low, sculpted front spoiler to boost its sporting appeal. Inside, blue detailing can be found throughout, including the stitching on the leather steering-wheel, the interior air-vent colour and the trim on the Recaro seats.

The Corsa VXR Blue comes with lowered sports suspension, uprated brakes and switchable Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), guaranteeing enthusiastic drivers a fine mix of dynamic security and adjustability.

Available to order now, the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Blue Edition will hit dealers late February.

More ways to dress up your Jag, as the popular 'Black pack' makes its way down the line to the XF saloon.

Formerly available on the XK GT, the Black Pack brings new 20-inch 'Draco' wheels and lots of gloss black highlights including on the grille and window surrounds.

Naturally, exclusivity has its price and in this instance, you can only get the Black Pack with certain colours, all of which are suprisingly not black. These include Polaris White, Spectrum Blue, Ultimate Black, Stratus Grey and Liquid Silver, in addition to the XFR-exlusive Kyanite Blue and Salsa Red.

There's also an Aerodynamic Pack available, which essentially boils down to a bodykit: more aggressive front bumper and grill, and bigger sills.

Anderson Germany Lamborghini Gallardo White Edition Performance kit takes the horsepower from 560 to 600 hp. This is done with series of modifications that include the use of software optimization and the addition of a modified air filter and a sport exhaust system with additional Rennkats. The tuning package includes a remote-controlled valve adjusting system that lets driver opt from three different levels of noise and also reduces approximately 22 kg in weight. A special sport suspension module combined with a precise undercarriage significantly changes the driving dynamics. Three-piece, shiny black rims – each with a white painted deep dish – in dimensions of 9×20 inch with 245/30-20 tires in front and 12.5 x 20 inch with 325/25-20 rear provide adequate adherence with the asphalt surface.

Externally visible modifications include carbon trim, widening aero kit consisting of front apron, side skirts, rear bumper diffuser and a rear spoiler. And window and tail light tinting should be mentioned also. The look is completed by LED lights on the sides of the vehicle and contrasting red-painted calipers.

The Lamborghini Gallardo White Edition interior features exclusive white carbon details. There are the vents, the hand brake lever, the shift paddles, the dashboard, the steering wheel, door handle inlays, the shift lever and the border of the internal light in the roof lining.
The seats of the White Racing Edition are finished in black Alcantara and black and white leather; the edges of seats are entirely in white; doors and seats have diamond-shaped stitching.
