Bridgestone has announced launching steel belted Off-the-Road (OTR) radial tyre. The launch is especially significant for the Indian replacement market in association with its business partner, Galaxy Motors and Dixon Tyres & Accessories.

Speaking on the launch, Bridgestone India’s Managing Director, H Tanigawa, said, “The Indian government`s thrust on building road infrastructure, the golden quadrilateral project and increasing acceptance of radial tyres has created new opportunities for the tyre industry. We at Bridgestone India, have, for the first time entered into OTR replacement business in India with Galaxy Motors and Dixon Tyres & Accessories to offer world-class steel belted OTR radial tyre to customers”.

The tyre manufacturer has committed to enhance its line-up of new products strategically including large OTR tyres. It will also It will also continue efforts and ensure the supply of high quality products that satisfy needs of our customers, said, Tanigawa.

In accordance with industry demands, the overall radialisation market is expected to augment from 2 per cent in 2010 to 6 per cent in 2014.
