Along with an upgrade in the engine, the Indigo e-CS gets some fresh new look on the exteriors with an all-new front grille, headlamps, and ORVM with blinkers. The new features coupled with the existing ones make the Indigo e-CS absolutely stunning and a head turner. The e-CS comes in a range of four attractive colours and four variants: the MPFI petrol base eGLS and eGLX version equipped with petrol engines and LX and LS version equipped with CR4 diesel engines.

The new Indigo e-CS, which is based on the Indigo platform, is offered in two engine options - petrol and a diesel. While the petrol variant Indigo e-CS comes equipped with MPFI 1.2 litre petrol engine with 32-bit microprocessor BS4 emission compliant and 16-valve, the diesel variant comes with a BS4 emission compliant 1.4 litre DOHC Common Rail Diesel engine. The petrol variant of the e-CS churns out a maximum power output 64 bhp @ 5000 RPM, and the diesel mill gives a powerful performance of 69 bhp @ 4000 RPM. Both the engines are aptly paired with a 5 Speed manual transmission gearbox.

The e-CS has the support of being the most fuel efficient sedan in India. The 1.4-litre diesel engine sedan from Tata Motors boasts of an ARAI certified fuel efficiency figure of 23.03 kmpl. With independent McPherson strut with coil spring at the front and independent 3 link McPherson strut with antiroll bar at the back, the new sedan seems pretty smooth on the roads.
