Audi India is gearing to launch the A8 luxury sedan in India on 10th January 2011. The luxury brand will launch in both petrol and diesel variant in India priced around Rs 91 lakhs and Rs 76 lakhs respectively. It is believed that the company will launch the petrol variant initially.
Audi India will first offer the local market with its powerful A8 4.2-litre FSI V8 engine that generates 367 bhp of maximum power and 445 Nm of maximum torque.
The Audi India diesel variant will get the 30-liter TDI V6 engine that pumps 247 bhp of maximum power and 550Nm of maximum torque. If believed the company might launch a powerful A8 powered by 6.3-liter produces 493bhp and 625Nm and will be launched second-half of 2011.
