Indian cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad are on the list to receive the new Jaguar dealership. Rohit Suri, the India head of Tata Motor’s premier car division said Jaguar Land Rover will begin assembling Land Rover models in India starting in the middle of next year. The company had already begun setting up the plant, he said without elaborating on the stage of construction, cost or its location.
This move clearly indicates that India is a booming luxury car mart and one is willing to shell out the big moolah. Be it Jaguars, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche the wealthy Indian is grabbing these luxury cars with ease. The huge custom duties doesn’t seem to be troubling them. Its a lifestyle statement – Stay Tuned.
