Skoda Fabia is a super hatch produced by Czech manufacturer Skoda Auto. The company first unveiled the car at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2007, and sales started from April 2007. Skoda launched the second generation of the Fabia in India as a 2008 model. The new Skoda Fabia has been launched to give a second lease of life to the aging Fabia in the Indian small car market.
Skoda India has launched the new Fabia in three engine variants - 1.2 TDI CR (Diesel) - available in Classic, Ambiente and Elegance variants, 1.2 MPI (Petrol) - available in Classic, Ambiente and Elegance variants and 1.6 MPI (Petrol) - available in Elegance variant. All the three engines come from the Volkswagen Polo/Vento range. While the 1.2 litre engines churn a maximum output of 75bhp, the 1.6 litre petrol brings out a stunning 105bhp.
The new facelifted Fabia is available in a range of colours including Deep Black Pearl, Flash Red, Candy White, Brilliant Silver and Cappuccino Beige.
The 1.2 TDI CR Diesel of the New Skoda Fabia is available in Classic, Ambiente and Elegance variants. The 1.2 TDI CR engine is one of the most fuel efficient diesel engines in the country. Featuring a Turbocharged Direct Injection Common Rail 1199cc engine, the diesel variant of the New Skoda Fabia churns out maximum power of 75 bhp at 4200 rpm and peak torque of 180 Nm at 2000 rpm. With its low fuel consumption, the 1.2 TDI CR Diesel is an ideal car for the high mileage user.
The 1.2 MPI Petrol of the New Skoda Fabia is available in Classic, Ambiente and Elegance variants. This is a smooth and noiseless performer with enhanced output. A 1198cc 3-cylinder in-line DOHC MPI motor with liquid cooling system has been planted in the car that delivers 75 bhp at 5400 rpm and peak torque of 110 Nm at 3750 rpm. The smooth and peppy engine delivers quietly and economically that’s ideal for regular city driving. Its strong pulling power suits the cut and thrust urban traffic.
The 1.6 MPI Petrol of the New Skoda Fabia is available in the Elegance variant only. The 1598cc 4-cylinder DOHC in-line petrol engine with liquid cooling system offers the best performance in its class that lets you zip past the ordinary. The 1.6 MPI Petrol delivers 105 bhp at 5250 rpm and is an absolute delight for a spirited driving experience. It delivers peak torque of 153 Nm at 3800 rpm.

The new Skoda Fabia is an attractive and spacious small car that has been designed with robust and dynamic design cues.
