Updates From The Launch:

BMW X1 3-series 5-series & x1 will be produced from its Chennai plant.Production capacity has increased to 8000 units a year on a single shift basis from 5400 units due to drastic increase of man power and efficiency.Preorders over 1000 units for the X1 and the orders are already be sold out.Return a mileage at 15 km/L.Q1 of the sales are already sold out.X1 price is very effective.BMW 1-Series not yet decided and will come to this again during the long run.BMW Plant expansion, production facility will be increased when needed by step by step.Based on the customer demand BMW might launch the All-wheel drive.. sDrive18i : Rs. 2200000, sDrive20d: Rs.2390000, sDrive20d Exclusive: Rs.2990000Next-Gen BMW 6-Series might be launche during Q2 / Q3, 2011.Ground Clearance is high and different suspension compared to the other country.X1 will be a CKD and deliveries will begin in Q1 of 2011.

BMW X1 will be available in three variants including the Corporate Edition, Highline and Cool Elegance.

The compact SUV will be powered by 1.8-liter petrol and 2.0-liter diesel engine and will be available only as a rear-wheel drive.

BMW’s X1 1.8i is priced at Rs 22 lakh, the 2.0-litre diesel base version is priced at Rs 23.9 lakh and the 2.0-liter Diesel exclusive variant is price at Rs 29.90 lakh and the top version Cool Elegance variant priced at Rs 32.5 lakh.

BMW X1 sDrive 1.8i is powered by a 1995cc 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 147.5bhp and 20.4 kgm of torque.

BMW X1 sDrive 2.0d is powered by a 1995cc 4-cylinder diesel engine that will generates around 174bhp of power and 35.7 kgm of max torque.

X1 SUV will be out with a wheelbase of 2760mm and at 4454mm long.

BMW X1 Corporate Edition will not feature sunroof, i-drive interface, and 6-CD changer, but comes with only a single CD player. It comes with a black trim and fabric seats instead of wooden trim.

BMW X1 Highline features Xenon headlamps, parking sensors and leather seats. The top end Cool Elegance receives Anthracite Headliner as well as exclusive contrasting piping on the leather seats.

BMW X1 Colours:

The new BMW X1 will be available in a range of ten exciting colours to choose from including Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and the following metallic colours: Black Sapphire, Cashmere Silver, Deep Sea Blue, Vermillion Red, Space Grey, Titanium Silver, Sparkling Bronze, Graphite Blue and Marrakesh Brown.
