The theory behind nitrogen in tyres is that pure nitrogen is less subject to contraction and expansion than the regular air we all breathe, and that inflating your tyres with the gas will save you fuel as a result. But truth is a little different. Standard compressed air that we fill in our tyres already contains about 78 percent nitrogen, and hence the difference between tyres filled with standard air and ones filled with nitrogen is negligible at its best. We would not mind filling our car's tyres with nitrogen if the services were free, but paying for that does not make sense.
Some of us would have seen the late-night advertisements for air filters that supposedly save you gallons of fuel or the magic "conversion kit" that will allow you to run your vehicle on water. Don't you think that these gadgets are too good to be true? These types of gadgets are a complete waste of money. Do your research and trust your instincts before buying these things. You must understand that vehicle manufacturers spend millions of dollars each year to come up with the next fuel-saving technology, so if you haven't seen them in the showrooms, chances are that these things won't do you any good.

Most of the time, these products will take care of your car's problem temporarily but will also have some long-term and unwanted side effects that could lead to expensive repairs. So, rather than looking for a short-term fix for your car's problems, head right to an authorized service centre and get it fixed for ever.
If you have a lot of money and you plan to spend it on your car, make sure that the fund goes towards something that will actually enhance the resale value of your car at the end of the day. Equipping your car with flashy and larger set of wheels and an insane entertainment system might be the latest in-thing, but these items won't bring your extra pennies when you trade in or sell your car. Contrary to popular beliefs, aftermarket items such as wheels and stereos can actually reduce the resale value of your vehicle.
