These days, large and potent motorcycles with an engine capacity of 500cc to 2,500cc are tearing up Bangalore roads. In terms of volume, the city levels up with Delhi which places Bangalore in a number two position of most units (superbikes) sold after Mumbai-Pune region.

Suzuki India has sold 50 superbikes so far in 2010 in Bangalore and New Delhi. For Yamaha too, Bangalore came in second with 19 superbikes this year. Almost seems like the superbike price tag of INR 6 lakh-35 lakh isn’t scaring Bangaloreans away.

The IT hub accounts for about 200 bikes, growing at 20 %. Harley Davidson opened its exclusive dealership in the city last week.
